What the Node does
Equaliser calculates the plan. The Node runs it locally and reports the measured result.
Carries out the plan on site
The schedule is stored on the unit and executed locally in one-second steps against the measured site load.
Limits are checked before anything is sent
Each power command is checked against the configured site and equipment limits before it is applied.
Keeps working without internet
If the connection drops, the unit continues with the valid stored plan and stores measurements until the connection returns.
Records operation
Measurements and events are stored locally and reported to Equaliser. The site overview shows the latest readings and connection status.
Operation at your site
When the stored plan expires
The Node switches to the fallback agreed during setup. The default uses the battery to supply the site's own consumption. Other options include holding the last power value for a limited period or stopping battery activity. Configured limits still apply.
Site requirements
The Node needs space in the electrical cabinet, power and a network connection. Equipment compatibility and installation access are checked as part of the project.
Equipment support
Battery control is tested against the Victron platform listed in the technical reference. EV charging control is in development. Support for other equipment is assessed before it is included in a proposal.
Electrical protection
The Node controls energy use within configured operating limits. It does not replace the building's fuses, circuit breakers or other electrical protection.
